Buffs, shops and unit strategy for the mode
Basics
- You start with 300 leadership (lds). Pick a strong main unit: Iron Reapers are the safest choice, Chariot is the strongest if available.
- Leadership doctrines apply to your chosen unit, so tier 5 is valid.
- Support units cost 80 lds but are nearly useless. Skip them unless you absolutely lack meta units.
Shops and Buffs
- A shop and supply point appear after each captured point (including start).
- Strategy: upgrade the shop twice, then invest all lds into unit upgrades.
- Best buffs: Lifesteal and %HP regeneration (priority), followed by speed, damage, defense, and health.
- NEVER take "Deal minimum & receive minimum damage" it will make your run slow and enemy exotics still deal high dmg
- Never take “damage doubled, HP halved” unless you play Chariot or have lot of buffs.
- Buffs stack and persist through unit death or swaps, so new units inherit everything.
- Reroll the shop in case it offers no buffs.
- After 2x upgrade u'll get T5 as potential support units: hard prio on flamers.
Progression
- First point: capture and shop. Sometimes defending villagers grants random buffs (map-dependent).
- Second point: same process, kill enemies/hero, shop unlocks.
- Third point onward: repeat. By now you should focus entirely on buff stacking and maxing the shop.
- Continue until final point. Killing enemies generates lds, fueling more upgrades.
Unit Strategies
- Chariot: If available, start with it. Buffs apply fully, and lifesteal makes it nearly unkillable. Don’t overstack movement speed, it can make Chariot uncontrollable.
- Iron Reapers: The most reliable non-Chariot option. With regen or lifesteal buffs, they become nearly immortal.
- Other strong picks: Onna Musha, Wu-Xing (can solo points while racking kills and leadership), Paladins.
- Support units: worthless past A/B point. Leadership is better spent on buffs.
Extra notes
- Some maps don’t include villagers to defend.
- Killing enemies = more lds = faster scaling.
- One quest event can spawn a Chariot, but details are RNG-based.
- Buffed support slots can allow more units, but buffs > units almost always.
- Do not start chariot if you are on Dasuo Map (as it is on wall)
