Some settings matter a lot, they give you crucial information. Menu by menu: Game Riding Mode: Steer with Mouse or Steer with Keys, mostly preference, but Steer with Mouse allows faster, sharper turns. Artillery Menu: personal preference. Assisted Aiming: class dependent, check the class guides . Units Color: preference, pick colors that are easy to see on the battlefield. Keyboard In Change Keys, go through every bind and put unit formations on easily reachable keys. In General, set sensitivity and whether to sprint or roll by double tapping. Once your formation keys are bound you can disable “Double tap to cycle formations”. UI Disable “Attire Camera Effect” for clarity and “Close Battle Minimap” for more info. Disable “Competition Livestream Mode” unless you are streaming. Reduce the overall UI size for visibility, anything under 90% is a good range. Graphic Use full window mode if you can, limit FPS to your monitor refresh rate, disable Vertical Sync if you are over 60Hz, and avoid Super Sampling. Choose Normal Mode over Camera Mode, and do yourself a favour: zoom out as much as possible for better visibility. Disable “Kill Cam (Specific Weapon Only)” for better camera control with the DB and Poleaxe ultimate. Sound Keep it high enough to hear flanking cavalry, the rest is personal preference.

As with any MMO, take a few minutes to open each menu and get familiar. It saves you a lot of “I wish I knew this sooner” moments. Keybinds may differ from yours, so go by the menu, not the letter. S Appears during special events, usually farming resources for a global pool in exchange for rewards. V Everything seasonal: battle pass, weekly challenges, the Season Challenge menu (change your seasonal focus to unlock units), the Campaign menu, the Seasonal Seal system , seasonal runes and the Seasonal Store. G Box Exchange menu. A time-limited box plus a permanent box you open with keys from activities, and an attire exchange with a pity system for duplicate skins. C The Store. The New Players and Returning Players packs are worth a look, the rest is typical and not too pay to win. How to harvest in the open world and craft artillery

First, have 5 Elite Serfs at level 7. If you take the bottom veterancy line you increase your labour by 40%. Second (not mandatory) equip Labour doctrines to raise labour by 0.06 or 0.07 per living soldier, depending on whether the doctrine is tier IV or V. Only farm the Blue and Purple spots, ignore the rest. Which ones depends on the arty you want to build. A common CF set is Digenite Copper Mine, Limonite Copper Mine, Oak Logging Camp and Goatskin Tannery. Press U and go to Technology. Technology improves Exotic gather rates by 200%. Start with Copper Ore since it is the material used most when crafting arty, and focus on Calamine (line 1) if you plan to build arty. Things to know Fief level: Normal siege needs Fief Level 1, Well-Made needs Level 5, Optimal needs Level 7. Rank 7 fiefs are rare and contested. Logistics: you must transport materials across the open world to the right fief. Recipes only craft at the specific fiefs tied to each type. Season timing: few crafting fiefs are open early in a season, more open later, so stockpile in advance. Optimal siege is often only available through rewards, because Rank 7 fiefs are so scarce. How the XP system works and how to XP fast

Accepted Answer

You max your hero's attributes quickly, usually by level 80 to 100. XP is earned in any match, and the units you bring gain XP too. If all your units are max level, the XP is stored in a shared pool in your Units-Menu to level other units later. It is heavily recommended to play a fully leveled warband and level new units from that Stored XP. The fastest leveling is Bandit Raids until you hit the weekly XP cap. These PvE matches take about 5 minutes and give the most XP, so stack XP bonuses before running them. The limit is now a cap on XP earned per week, not on how many battles you can run, so once you have maxed it out sieges are your next best option. In a Bandit Raid you and four others clear bots, groups are marked with an exclamation point. Around 80 kills gives roughly 90% of the XP, though you still want 100+ unit kills to score A+ and clear the weekly bandit-raid quests. High damage T4 cavalry (Companion Cavalry, Kriegsbruder, Prefecture Cavalry) turn each raid into a sub two minute speedrun. Use XP boosts during raids, especially at the start of a season for runes. The O-menu “fulfill daily/weekly quests” option lets you spend bronze for a portion of missed rewards, useful for fast XP. This is mainly worth it for new players leveling for stats, or for runes (unlocked at seasonal level 50). Beyond that you are just wasting bronze, extra account levels give no further benefit.

Attribute points and stats explained

Strength increases Piercing Armour Penetration, Slashing Damage and Blunt Damage by 6 points. Agility increases Piercing Damage, Slashing Armour Penetration and Blunt Armour Penetration by 6 points. Armour increases Piercing, Slashing and Blunt Armour by 3 points. Toughness increases maximum HP by 100 points. For damage, prioritize the stats your spell multipliers favour. For tanking, focus one stat only, since it scales. To find the best split for your own hero, use our Attribute Calculator . Damage classes Spell multipliers favour damage stats. A 140% multiplier means each point of Strength (a damage stat) adds about +6 damage, while Agility (penetration) adds only a small % that works out to +2 to 4 damage. Penetration is valuable up to a sweet spot, then loses efficiency. Aim for roughly 2x your enemy's damage stat (about 2100 penetration versus 1000 to 1100 defense). Tank classes Go all in on Armor or HP, partial investment gives diminishing returns. Full Armor amplifies physical damage reduction, full HP adds raw survivability (good when you cannot reach the armor sweet spot, or against high pen, true damage and poison). Hybrid Armor/HP builds are inefficient because Armor scales best when fully invested.

How to farm honor as a new player

Honour is one of the most valuable resources in Conqueror's Blade, and earning it steadily is a big part of your progression. The best ways to farm it as a new player: Sieges, Deathmatch and Free Battles These modes earn up to 20,000 honour per week. They are great for practising tactics, hero builds and unit strategies while you bank a steady supply, so aim to hit the weekly cap. Fief quests Up to 20 per week, and the fastest way to clear them is gathering horse mounts. Head to a horse farm in the open world, gather 4 to 5 times, then visit different fiefs to turn in the quests, which reward honour for delivering set amounts of Jennets or Coursers. Plan efficient gather and delivery routes to save time. See also how fief quests work . Weekly quest chests Completing your weekly quests rewards blue and purple chests that hold big amounts of honour. Make these a priority every week. Ranked games Ranked is a reliable source of honour medals each week: reaching 2 wins and then 5 wins gives small rewards that include medals you redeem for important upgrades. On top of the weekly rewards, hitting certain ranks gives one-time rewards instantly plus an end-of-season reward, and these often include honour, so pushing your rank is a valuable boost. Level your battle pass Earning glory levels your battle pass, which hands out honour medals as rewards. What are unit doctrines

Doctrines are special modifiers you add to a unit to improve its stats and abilities: more damage, better defense, faster cooldowns and so on. Each unit has five doctrine slots, and doctrines come in rarities (Uncommon, Rare, Epic and up) with levels I to V once Epic. The most common way to get them is excavation with treatises via the X menu . You can also use the Doctrine Alchemy system . Equip them through your U menu. Some doctrines are specific to unit types (ranged, melee, crossbow, archer, lance cav, sword cav), which you can see by hovering the unit, and some are unique to a single unit. How to use treatises and doctrine alchemy

Overview A doctrine enhances a single unit. As units level, they equip more doctrines, up to five at level 10. Equipping Slots unlock at levels 1, 3, 5, 7 and 10. Activation: hold left-click on a doctrine's icon in the unit's doctrine page (Warband tab) to activate it. Unit-specific: once activated a doctrine is tied to that unit, unless removed with Lotus Water. Families: only one doctrine per family at a time, activating another from the same family overwrites it. Some doctrines cannot combine on one unit (for example Stamina and Assault). How to get them Excavation: the main method, treatises are consumed to excavate random doctrines. New players should wait for the infantry (and secondarily cavalry) rotation for a better epic chance before dumping treatises. Doctrine Alchemy: combine existing doctrines into new ones from a special pool. Sacrificed doctrines are lost, but you can get higher level or exclusive doctrines. Season Challenges: unlock seasonal unit-specific doctrines. Doctrine Boxes: Epic, Rare or Seasonal selection boxes, some let you choose. A Pure Wisdom triples the temper value of the next sacrifice, so save it for a batch of 8 Epic doctrines or wisdoms. Press Escape during the sacrifice animation to skip it.

How fame donations work

Fame donations are a weekly way to earn Fame (a currency) along with crafting materials and a chance at an Epic schematic. You hand in specific items to the Envoy in the main city. Donations run in stages. Each stage asks for more, and harder, items than the last, but the rewards grow with every stage, so climbing them is worth it when you can afford to. Reset each week, so do them weekly. Sieges are still the best overall source of Fame, so if you only have time for one, play sieges. Doing your donations on top is strongly recommended whenever you have the items to spare. Which items are worth donating, from best value down to last-resort fillers: Best and free: the items you already get from sieges. Best but expensive. Good. Okay, but usually better kept for fief quests or to sell. Fillers only if you are short on finishing the weekly. If you can, prioritize the rewards that give the two Epic schematics, and note the 732 Leadership reward is enough for the Blue and Purple Lock phases. The armour system

There are three armor types: Light, Medium and Heavy. Weapons are restricted by armor type, you cannot equip a heavier weapon in lighter armor, but you can equip a lighter weapon in heavier armor. In general light armor suits hero killers, heavy armor suits units, support and tanking, and medium is a balanced mix. To choose the right setup, follow the crafting FAQ .

The honing system and how to get the currency

Honing requires a reforged item with 3 different stats above 50% of their max value (max value shows at the bottom right when reforging). It raises stats step by step (random +3 to +8), fully RNG, and your chance of a successful increase drops the closer a stat is to its max. All the ways to get the currency 20x in the Battle Pass (10x free) 20x in the Ranked Shop 10x in the Fame Shop 6x per week in the supply exchange (weekly shop) 6x per week from premium (weekly quest) Pay to win: 4x per week for 800 souvs, 100x for 36000 souvs, plus a monthly pack for 1k souvs There are two upgrade systems and the order matters a lot. Reforging is rerolling your gear's stats. You get a new version with random stats and rarity (Rare, Epic, Legendary, better rarity means more stats), then keep the old item or take the new one. Legendary is about a 2% roll, but there is a pity system, guaranteed within 60 tries. The Lock button protects one stat through the reroll, so lock your good stat and gamble the rest. Locking freezes that stat at its current number, so only lock once you like the value (often 80%+ of max on one of your two main stats). Honing is leveling the stats you already have. It will not add stats or change rarity, and each hone randomly picks one stat to bump. Fewer stats means your important stat gets picked more often, so junk stats make maxing your key stat take forever. Armor: go for Leadership (sometimes labelled Influence), it lets you field more troops. It caps at 25 per piece, but do not chase a perfect 25, going 20 to 25 costs way more than reaching 20. Weapons: lock your two main stats, normally a damage stat plus its matching penetration. Get one high, lock it, reroll for the second, and keep the weapon clean. The big mistake: finish all reforging FIRST, hone LAST. If you hone then reforge, taking the new roll wipes your honing progress. Order to remember: reroll, lock the keepers, chase the other main stat, then hone. Requirements: gear must be made from Rare or Epic schematics, and an item needs at least 3 stats at 60%+ of max before it can be honed.

Why can't I equip this weapon (attributes per weapon)

If you have the correct armor for the weapon but still cannot use it, usually one of these is true: You have not unlocked the weapon in your skill menu (P then Skills). The weapon is seasonal and locked behind challenges (for example Maul, Pike, Chain Dart & Scimitar). For attributes, hover the stats to see what each one gives. Every weapon focuses on a primary damage type (Slashing, Piercing or Blunt), so adjust your stats to match. The weapon guides have the full breakdown.

The crafting system and how to get Leadership

Crafting is fairly simple at first and gets deeper as you go. There are three schematic types: Green, Blue and Epic, each ranging from Blue to Legendary rarity (Epic schematics only come in Epic and Legendary). Rarity does not decide if a craft is good, the BONUS (the yellow + stats) does. Green schematics are entry level, outgrown around level 50 to 80. Blue schematics are the standard for most players, from tutorials, weekly drops and beginner quests. Heavy = Guardsman's, Medium = Carnifex's, Light = Rogue's. Epic schematics are the rarest and the endgame goal, much better base stats plus a unique passive on armor. Consider crafting the weapon first, or waiting for 4 Epic boxes to craft a full armor set for the passives. See which Epic armor is for which class , and how to obtain Epic schematics . At the Smith, crafting gives Blue, Epic or Legendary quality (not to be confused with schematic rarity), with random stats from a pool: 3 stats for blue, 4 for purple, 6 for gold. Stats beat quality, a blue item with good stats beats a legendary with bad stats. After crafting you can reforge with stones to add base stats, and lock one stat to protect it. Lock Leadership on armor 99% of the time (best value, hardest to get), and on weapons lock the damage or penetration of your main stat and aim for the second. Reforge toward the recommended stats for your class . Resources come mainly from Salvaging (buy at the Horse Seller, salvage in your Inventory). The seasonal seal / lock

At the start of each season a seasonal seal levels the playing field for new players and keeps things fresh for veterans, by temporarily limiting higher-tier units and gear bonuses: Blue Lock : the first two weeks, only blue-tier units, armor bonuses and crafted item bonuses disabled. Purple Lock : the next 2 to 3 weeks, purple-tier units allowed, armor bonuses active but crafted bonuses still disabled. Golden Phase: after Purple Lock everything unlocks, full gold-tier units, armor bonuses and crafted bonuses for the rest of the season.

Territory War and the seasonal system

Territory Wars (TW) is a large-scale PvP event where Houses and Alliances battle for fiefs and cities on the open world map. Battles happen twice a week and are essential for influence, resources and strategic advantage, coordinate with your House to attack or defend. The Season System adds new content every few months (usually 3): seasonal units, challenges, rewards and mechanics. Each season has a theme and units unlocked through quest-like challenges. Seasons also add Runes, earned by leveling, which change stats, add effects and can affect certain units.

The masteries system

Masteries let you upgrade specific units to their Mastery version for improved stats and abilities. It uses the Uncommon Scroll of Mastery and the Rare Scroll of Mastery. Green units: from level 10, 75 Green scrolls and 10 Blue scrolls. Blue units: from level 10, 120 Green scrolls and 20 Blue scrolls. Purple units: from level 12, 195 Green scrolls and 30 Blue scrolls. Where the scrolls come from 50x Uncommon weekly from the supply token exchange (5 per supply token). Honour store: 15x Uncommon weekly (300 honour for the first 5, then 450 each), and 5x Rare weekly (2000 for the first, then 3000 each). 350x Uncommon at 200 honour for the first 150 then 250 for the next 200 (does not refresh). 17x Uncommon from the Path to War challenges. Special events regularly hand out both scrolls. 5x Uncommon exchange for 1x Rare at the Mastery Scroll Exchange (Activities tab, hotkey O). Exception: Mace Sergeants use Uncommon and Rare Scroll of Mastery: Mace Power instead, from the Cadet's Trials tutorial quests (enough to fully upgrade one unit) and the honour store.

The game's skin system

Where and when every skin is obtainable: Permanent skins. Store skins are locked behind sovereigns, added often and very rarely removed. Antique Attire Chest skins (G-Menu base chest) are RNG, opened with keys you earn as you play. Battle Pass skins. Present in the season they release, with a recolor of the Pass 100 step available that season through Fame donations. They return as a recolor in the Seasonal Store next season, and again 3 to 4 seasons later. Event timed skins. Christmas, Halloween and so on, often re-introducing skins from previous years. Legendary / event skins. There are rare cases of honour tree nodes affecting more than the unit right next to them. Most first nodes on each tree affect every unit, but after that it becomes rare. You can explore any unit's nodes in our Honor Tree tool . Previously some units “upgraded” from an honour tree unit into a seasonal one. That is changed now, every unit is unique, but the old honour tree nodes still affect these seasonal units. For example: Yeomen nodes affect Armigers. Pyro-Lancer nodes affect Liao's. Halberdiers nodes affect Landsknechts. Men-At-Arms to Paladins and Spear Sergeants to Stalwarts used to work this way, but Paladins and Stalwarts were reworked into the honor tree, so they now have their own unique honor tree nodes.

Ways to get them: 1 to 2 from the battle pass (most seasons, not all). 4 from Grand Champion rank in ranked (1 on reaching it, 1 at season end, 2 in the Ranked shop). 2 from the Triumph shop (using TW triumph). 2 from Fame donations (the Envoy NPC in the main city). 3 to 5 from various in-season events. 5 to 10 per season from sovereign pay-to-win packs. How do fief quests work

Fief quests are one of the best sources of honour, house progression and crafting materials. They live inside fiefs: open the map, click a fief, then Overview, then Fief Quest, or just talk to the Brigadier in the city. The principle is simple: bring a specific resource or trophy, in the amount the quest asks for, to that fief. On completion you get the rewards shown in the right-hand panel, plus the extra rewards under Other Rewards if your house owns the location. Rewards A fief quest can give you: Honour , for unlocking units and unit upgrades. House experience , which levels your house so it can capture cities and forts. Reputation points , used to build advanced camps. Unit kit chests , which save you silver on repairing your troops' weapons. Construction materials , used to raise a fief's level (more on that below). Limits Fief quests reset on Sunday evening and stay active for one week. You can complete no more than 20 quests per week. To check your count, open a fief, go to Fief Quests, and look at the bottom left. Each quest in a fief has a total completion limit shared by everyone. In Hebao, for example, the granite quest might sit at 140 out of 400. Once the total is reached, nobody can complete it anymore. The same quest can only be done once per day, so at most 7 times a week in the same fief. Because of this it pays to plan your week. Aiming for around 3 quests a day lets you focus only on the best quests across your fiefs. Quest levels Fief quests have levels: the more stars a quest has, the better its rewards. A fief's own level decides the quests it offers. Jiedi at level 1 only gives 1 to 2 star quests, while a higher-level fief like Hebao offers up to 5 stars. Only the baron can upgrade a fief the house owns, and only once the fief has built up a set amount of construction materials (shown on the fief itself). Hebao, for example, needs 300,000 construction materials to level up. Those come from fief quests completed by house members in house-owned fiefs, plus the tributes your house receives every Sunday morning for the fiefs it holds. Higher-level fiefs produce more tribute, so upgrading your fiefs quickly matters for both rewards and house progression. Types of fief Not every fief is the same, and the type shapes the quests and rewards it offers: Village: small and unwalled, with fief quests and basic crafting. Cheapest to level, so the usual pick for building. Town: walled and worth far more prestige, starts at a higher level with instant access to tier 4 and 5 quests, but costs much more to maintain. Fort: a defensible chokepoint that can block movement through a region, though it rarely has resource nodes. Gate: only basic crafting and no resources, but each is worth a lot of end-of-season triumphs and can be needed to enter the Conqueror's City fight. Capital City: the region hub with every NPC and service, the most lucrative and the hardest to hold. Trade Colony: a safe town that cannot be attacked, with a trading post and a smuggler selling high-level unit kits. Quest rewards scale with a fief's level, more than doubling at the top, so higher-level fiefs are the ones to prioritize. A common building tip: take a fief to level 4 to start earning the bonus rewards on turn-ins, then stockpile enough materials to jump straight to level 7 in one go, which skips the heavy upkeep drain at levels 5 and 6. Resource respawn The rarity of resources on the map changes day to day. A copper mine near your city might be grey on Monday (one type of copper) and purple on Tuesday (a different type). This matters a lot when a quest asks for a specific resource, so check the map before you set out to gather. Who can harvest where How many times you can harvest a node depends on your relationship with the house that owns it: 3 if it is in your own house's territory. 2 if it is in an alliance member's territory. 1 if the territory allows harvesting but is not in your alliance. 0 if the territory forbids harvesting. Requisitions are the exception: a requisition order lets you harvest regardless of your relationship with the owner. You get requisition orders by logging in daily (certain days, especially Sunday, give one), from vault rooms (most often after a bandit camp, sometimes after other activities like sieges), from the Vae Victis and 5 Battles daily quests, and from abandoned wagons, dilapidated huts and similar spots. Getting the resources Split what a quest needs into two types: Trophies , mostly from rebel camps in large amounts, and in smaller amounts from nearby bandits, the auction house, or the odd abandoned house or wagon. Standard resources , gathered directly from production sites. Take the Hebao Cedar Wood Supply quest, which wants 34,000 cedar wood. First hover the quest to see if you already have enough in stock. If not, check the resource's rarity (purple here) and find a matching purple sawmill. Go there with units, harvest, then return to the quest fief to turn it in, watching for players who might attack you on the way. Bring one combat unit for defence just in case, and harvest on Line 2 or 3 rather than Line 1, where you are far less likely to run into other players. To switch lines, click Line at the top right and pick another. Harvest optimization Your productivity index depends on your army composition: the higher the ratio, the more you gather (handy for lowering taxes or spending fewer requisition orders). The default best setup is 5 level 7 serf units with the harvesting veterancy (bottom line), or 4 serfs plus 1 combat unit such as cavalry if you expect trouble on the way. Also check the technologies under U, which boost harvesting a lot. They unlock with harvesting experience, gained every time you gather at a production site. Three last tips: always carry rations in your wagon, since running out makes you harvest 50% less; you can buy resources straight from the auction house instead of farming them; and quests of the same level do not always give identical rewards, so compare before you commit.

How does Drill Wars (end of season TW) work

Drill Wars are practice wars that replace normal Territory War battles at the turn of a season, usually the final Tuesday before a season ends and the first Saturday after the next one begins. Each fief is assigned a random amount of silver in its treasury, the battles run for an hour and a half, and they are one of the best sources of silver in the game. There are two ways to secure that silver. Defensively Contrary to popular belief, defending pays. At the end of the war, whatever is left in the treasury is divided the same way as the weekly payouts and rewards the whole house. Drill War coffers are often inflated well above a normal treasury, so these payouts can be massive. Attacking rewards the best fighters, but defending rewards every member of the house regardless of how they score in the fight. Offensively When you capture a fief, 30% of its total Drill War coffer is split between the fighters in that battle by their rank on the leaderboard, so the top scorers get the most. This is great for small groups of friends after quick cash, but it can leave new players with scraps while the top players walk away with the big earnings. Defensive victories tend to be nicer for the whole community, giving everyone a share instead of a handful of your best players taking all the loot. How you play it is up to you and your house.
